Boy George reveals mysterious hand injury as he walks through London wearing bandages

Boy George was spotted in London’s Belsize Park on Wednesday with a mysterious injury to his hand.

The 63-year-old Karma Chameleon singer wore bandages as he walked to the subway station.

He looked serious as he stepped out in an all-black ensemble of sweatpants, sweatshirt and long coat.

The hitmaker took a backpack with him on his travels and rounded off the casual look with a cap and dark sunglasses to protect his eyes.

His painful-looking hand injury was covered by a blue-black bandage – the cause of the wound is unknown.

MailOnline has contacted Boy George’s representatives for comment.

Previously, in March it was revealed that the singer was turned away from his school when he asked to attend again, despite his chart-topping career.

He attended school in Eltham Green in the 1970s and the star admitted that he doesn’t have the best memories of the school because of his experimental looks.

However, the singer had hoped to return to give a talk to current students, but was told he was not welcome because he feared it would bring back “bad memories” of the school.

When Boy George attended the school, it was known for its bad reputation and out-of-control students before it later transformed into Harris Academy Greenwich.

In 2016, the school even received an excellent rating from Ofsted and staff decided that Boy George’s attendance would not be appropriate.

He admitted to the Telegraph: “They didn’t want to let me in. I wanted to go back to my school, but they wouldn’t let me because it had become an academy.”

“When I was there, it was a comprehensive school, a mixed school with a terrible reputation.

“So they thought I was just bringing back all the bad memories of when school was going downhill.”

This comes after it was revealed in March that the singer, despite his successful career, was rejected by his school after asking to return for a visit (pictured: 2021).
