IndyCar Series Mid-Ohio: Schedule, TV and streaming for the debut of the hybrid engine

IndyCar Series Mid-Ohio: Schedule, TV and streaming for the debut of the hybrid engine

The IndyCar Series returns to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, a 13-turn, 2.258-mile permanent road course, this weekend with the Honda Indy 200. The race is 80 laps (180.64 miles) and will feature the debut of the IndyCar hybrid engine.

The hybrid assist unit, which fits into the current chassis, will generate 120 additional horsepower when used in push-to-pass mode (up from 60 horsepower under the old system). It should also allow drivers who get stuck to be able to restart the car quickly without assistance from the safety team, reducing the number of laps driven under caution.

Alex Palou comes to Mid-Ohio with full momentum. He won two weeks ago in Monterey, California, to take the lead in the series points standings. Palou also won at Mid-Ohio in 2023.
