Alex Newell honors America

Broadway star Alex Newell took the stage to sing “America the Beautiful.”

Alex played Unique Adams on Glee and starred in various Broadway productions including Schucked and Once On This Island.

They have won Tony Awards and have been nominated for Critics Choice, Gold Derby, Screen Actors Guild and Hollywood Critics Association awards.

Alex ended his performance with a rendition of “Brave” by Sara Bareilles.

The fireworks were set off over the Hudson River so they could be seen from all over New York City.

The choir sang The Star Spangled Banner to set the mood.

Shaboozey is for the country

He sang the viral song at the BET Awards on Sunday night and remixed it with J-Kwon’s song “Tipsy.”

Shaboozey showed his patriotism tonight with an all-red denim set with blue stars and white fringe.
