Romy Wyllie began writing in her mid-sixties after surviving a devastating forest fire. Her book “Loving Andrew: A 52-year story of Down syndrome” took 18 years to publish. She also wrote two architecture books and a monograph. In October 2020 she published a prequel to “I love Andrew” called From there to here: War, peace, pandemic – A memory.
