Tanguy Ndombele moves to a new club in France to revive his career

Former Tottenham Hotspur player Tanguy Ndombele has signed for a new club after his contract with Spurs was terminated last month.

The talented midfielder has agreed to end his time at his parent club, even though he still has a year left on his contract.

It marks the end of a disappointing career at Spurs and potentially a chance to revive his career as a stutterer.

Ndombele has signed for French club Nice after spending last season on loan at Turkish champions Galatasaray.

In Nice, he will try to build on the form he showed at his former club Lyon, which first put him on the radar of the European elite in 2017.

He made 19 appearances for Galatasaray last season, but failed to make much of an impression at the Süper Lig club and was often criticized for his fitness and weight.

He then posted an emotional message to the club’s fans on Instagram, saying: “Thank you to the managers, staff and teammates for this adventure that led us to the championship title.”

The 27-year-old will meet former sporting director Florian Maurice again, whom he knows from their time together at Lyon.

He last played for Tottenham in the FA Cup third round match against Morecambe on January 9, 2022 and was booed off the pitch.

Ndombele won the Italian league for Napoli in the 2022–23 season before moving to Galatasaray.
