According to reports, the Netflix series “Horizon Zero Dawn” has been canceled

It has been reported that the Netflix adaptation of the hit video gameHorizon: Zero Dawn has been canceled.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is a game developed by PlayStation studio Guerrilla Games and released in 2017.

Players take on the role of a heroine named Aloy, an outcast who navigates a post-apocalyptic world filled with human enemies and machines in beautiful landscapes reclaimed by nature.

She tries to uncover her past while fending off new threats that face the world.

It is the first game in the series and its successor, Horizon: Forbidden Westwill be released in 2022 on current generation consoles and continues the story from where Horizon: Zero Dawn stopped.

Given the success of recent game adaptations finding their way into television series, such as The last of us And Stand outNetflix did something similar with Sony and adapted Horizon: Zero Dawn.

But Rolling Stone reported Horizon: Zero Dawnas well as another original series, are no longer moving forward.

Rolling Stone reported that showrunner Steve Blackman, who was involved in the filming of Horizon: Zero Dawnwas accused of “toxic, tyrannical, manipulative and vindictive behavior,” allegations that Blackman has vehemently denied.

In a subsequent social media post it was said Horizon: Zero Dawn was bottled in cans.

Other reports said there were speculations that the show could continue without Blackman, but that was not the case and the show was canceled altogether.

According to reports, it is likely that Sony will start production on the series with another partner.
