Taylor Swift will perform in Amsterdam on July 4, skipping her annual party in Rhode Island, which is usually attended by Selena Gomez

For Taylor Swift, it was all about work this Fourth of July as she canceled her annual Independence Day celebration in Rhode Island.

Instead, the 34-year-old pop star, who received a sentimental gift from Gigi Hadid in June, took the stage in Amsterdam, where she performed at the Johan Cruijff Arena.

She will perform three shows there until Saturday, July 6th.

The singer-songwriter usually hosts a party at her house in Watch Hill.

Last year, she shared clips from the gathering on Instagram, writing on July 7: “Belated Happy Independence Day from the independent girls in your neighborhood.”

One of her long-time close friends, Selena Gomez, was also present at the festive gathering.

The post received more than 9.2 million likes from Taylor’s 283 million followers.

The Pennsylvania-born musician hosted regular Fourth of July events at her New England home until Donald Trump’s presidency before reviving the event last year.

In August 2019, she told The Guardian that she stopped hosting “Taymerica” soirées after the 2016 election because of her “disillusionment” with America.

That same month, speaking to Vogue, she said: “You know, the summer before the election (2016), all people were saying was, ‘She’s calculating. She’s manipulative. She’s not what she seems. She’s a snake. She’s a liar.'”

“These are exactly the same insults that were thrown at Hillary Clinton (then presidential candidate). Would I be a support or a liability?

“Birds of a feather flock together. Look at those two lying women. Those two nasty women.”

Literally millions of people told me to disappear. So I disappeared. In many ways.’

At one point, the longtime entertainer put her feet up and showed off a pair of her 250 shoes designed by Christian Louboutin.

Taylor is in the middle of her record-breaking worldwide Eras tour.

In May, designer Christian Louboutin announced that he had made more than 250 pairs of shoes for production, which normally sell for about $1,000.

Speaking to Vogue, the 61-year-old shoe architect revealed: “When you work for artists, it’s better to start with a very large number of styles and then select the designs that seem most suitable for the stage.”

It was also reported that he had come up with 60 new pairs of shoes for the pop star so that she could manage the European leg of her successful tour.

The collection used hundreds of rhinestone crystals and Louboutin noted, “I learned a few magic tricks to make sure the silhouette looks great even with shoes that are 100% comfortable to wear.”

He added: “I learned at Les Folies Bergère that the lights on stage are very powerful and tend to flatten any surface.”

Swift introduced a new part of her concert in early May after releasing her album “The Tortured Poets Department” in April.

During her performance in Paris, she revealed that she has been working on “The Tortured Poets Department” part of her tour since last year.

“We started planning this surprise for you about eight or nine months ago, and then when we had ‘two months off’ from the Eras tour, we actually didn’t take any time off at all.

“We just started rehearsals, so I want to thank my crew, my dancers and my band,” she said during a break in the music.
