At 1 p.m. local time, the hunt for the coveted gold bracelet begins, which was The World Series of Poker 2024 begins on July 4th in Horseshoe and Paris Casino Las VegasOf 187 participants, only five players from as many countries are still in the race for Event #79: $50,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha.

Most of the 8,929,250 USD prize pool is still up for grabs and the five finalists have already secured a cash prize of $503,085, while the winner will receive the massive grand prize of $2,100,325.

Among them are four bracelet winners hoping to increase their tally, and Hong Kong’s Daniela Schröder leads after a rise late last night. He returns with a stack of 20,725,000 and is thus well ahead Ronald Keijzer (13,275,000) and Daniel Perkusic (12,150,000), the other two larger stacks are still in the race.

Aside from that, Jim Collopy (5,100,000) and Santhosh Suvarna (4,850,000) are also still in the race and are at the bottom of the leaderboard, just one big blind behind.

Suvarna will be making his fourth High Roller win at the 2024 WSOP and has a chance to win his second gold bracelet of the year and his third overall. The businessman triumphed earlier in the series against poker’s elite in Event #55: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold’em, netting a whopping $5,415,152.

Chip leader Tang has competed with Suvarna several times in the Triton Super High Roller events and has already collected $26.9 million in live poker winnings. Five years ago, the Hong Kong-based poker pro won his first gold bracelet in Event No. 90: $50,000 Final Fifty and has the chance to double his tally at an event with the same price tag.

Collopy has the most WSOP credits of the final five, as he has three WSOP titles on his resume, while PLO specialist Keijzer also has a bracelet from 2018. The only contender who has yet to win a WSOP is third-place finisher Perkusic, who could become the first German to win a gold bracelet at the 2024 WSOP.
