Robbie Williams turned down a date with the American A-list superstar singer because she was ‘too young’ after flirting with him

BEFORE he fell madly in love with his wonderful wife Ayda Field, it’s safe to say that Robbie Williams slept with more women than I had hot dinners at school.

But there is one famous woman who is not on this long list – Beyoncé.

According to Guy Chambers, his long-time collaborator, the US superstar tried to charm Robbie, who was eight years older than her, but he rejected her.

Speaking to Squeeze’s Chris Difford on his podcast ‘I Never Thought It Would Happen’, Guy said: “When I finally got on Top Of The Pops with Robbie, it was a really big moment. That was in 1998.”

“I can remember determination‘s Child. And I remember Beyonce. She was incredibly young back then.

“I remember her coming out of the Changing room door while the other two flirted with Rob and tried to get his attention.

“He said, ‘Oh, she’s too young. I’m not going there.'”

Guy also dampened speculation that he might work with Robbie again – after helping him to huge hits in the 1990s with songs such as “Let Me Entertain You” and “No Regrets”.

He added: “There is no chance of that happening.”

I would love to see that old magic again.
