Joy has already performed in Catalonia in the past. In fact, he wrote a song called “Catalonia”, which has a video shot mostly on the beaches of the Costa Brava.

“I didn’t want the video for the song to be cheesy, and I didn’t want people here to think, ‘Are you trying to tell our story?'” Vance Joy told Catalan News at the time. “I’ve been lucky to work with some really talented filmmakers,” he added.
