Taylor Swift has become something of an Independence Day queen – but this year her Rhode Island estate will not be her party palace.

Swift’s annual party will not take place on the East Coast as in previous years. The pop star is currently on the European leg of her Epoch Tour and will perform in Amsterdam on July 4th. But what would the holiday be without a look back at some of their best July 4th performances?

The singer started her tradition of hosting Fourth of July parties at her home in 2013. Two months after purchasing her $17 million mansion in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, the singer hosted her Red Tour Dancers to celebrate America’s birthday.

“Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays of the year,” Swift revealed on her blog in July 2013, sharing photos of her outdoor celebrations.

The crew played volleyball, did face painting and spent the day soaking up the sun on the beach. “You all saw us in our show costumes on the Red Tour …this is what we all look like in RED, white and blue,” Swift teased at the time.

Swift’s fourth party, however, made her home of Rhode Island – the same house she sings about in 2020’s “The Last Great American Dynasty” – the place to be on Independence Day.

At that time, Swift was together Tom Hiddlestonwho was photographed swimming in the ocean with the musician in an “I Heart TS” tank top.

“The truth is, it was the Fourth of July and a holiday and we were playing a game and I slipped and hurt my back,” Hiddleston recalled. Swift, who split from the actor in September 2016, wore a red swimsuit with the word “America” ​​written on the top.

After the breakup, Swift was briefly with Matty Healybut the romance ended in June 2023. Swift quietly brought the party back in July 2023 for BFFs, including Selena GomezEstonia, Danielle And Alana Haim and seemingly hinted at her single status in her social media caption.

“Belated Happy Independence Day from the independent girls in your neighborhood 😎,” Swift captioned a series of snaps from the relaxed girls’ weekend. According to Swift’s photos, the ladies were seen sunbathing in bikinis and singing in the kitchen.

Gomez raved about her time with the girls and wrote: “Sometimes you need to be around strong, nice and cool girls. I needed that.”

Although Swift revived her Fourth of July tradition just last year, fans will have to wait until 2025 for a possible sequel. Swift will perform in Amsterdam on Independence Day this year, the first of three Epoch Tour shows in the country.
