Inside Taylor Swift’s legendary 4th of July parties filled with celebrity friends and famous exes

Taylor Swift is known for hosting some truly legendary 4th of July parties, which are usually packed to the brim with celebrity friends and familiar faces.

The 34-year-old singer won’t be throwing an iconic Independence Day party tonight as she’s in Amsterdam for her Eras Tour. But to celebrate her iconic parties, The Mirror US takes a look at her most prominent parties that she’s thrown on the Fourth of July.

2013 was Taylor’s first Independence Day party. The party was pretty laid back and the singer celebrated in style, with her dancers and the Red Tour crew being the only guests in attendance.

The following year, just months before the release of 1989, Ingrid Michaelson, Lena Dunham, Jaime King, Emma Stone and Jessica Szohr showed up at Taylor’s party, held at her Rhode Island home. The famous faces all took a dip in the pool and baked cakes. They even posed for a group photo to celebrate the occasion.

In 2015, when Taylor was with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, Ed Sheeran and Gigi Hadid were in attendance, plus Martha Hunt and all three Haim sisters, Este, Danielle and Alana, were all there.

Not only that, in 2015 Calvin joined in on the fun too. However, a year later the couple split. At the 2015 party, Taylor and her friends enjoyed grilled food in skimpy bikinis and slipped into patriotic onesies for the evening.

In 2016, Taylor invited Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne and the singer’s then-boyfriend Tom Hiddleston. But after the couple split in April 2023, Taylor brought back her legendary bash – the party took place just days before the start of her love story with Travis Kelce.

Last summer, Taylor hosted her first Fourth of July party in several years, and a few days later, the singer took to social media to celebrate the occasion. “Belated Independence Day from the independent girls in your neighborhood,” she captioned the post, captioning it with a sunglasses emoji.

Her celebrity friends Selena Gomez and the Haim sisters Este, Danielle and Alana were also there. Snapshots show Taylor in her Rhode Island home, posing sultryly and licking popsicles with her friend Selena.

The tweet was her last social media post before her performance in Kansas City in front of Travis Kelce, who didn’t give her a friendship bracelet he made with his phone number on it.
