When it comes to the Fourth of July Holiday, there are certain activities that are simply synonymous – like watch fireworksattend a neighborhood barbecue and cool off at a friend’s pool party.

Sometimes overlooked in the festivities – but just as spectacular – is Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. If you’ve never had the chance to watch these professional eaters scarf down Nathan’s delicious hot dogs, it’s worth watching. Last year, the women’s winner, Miki Sudo, devoured 39.5 hot dogs in 10 minutes, while the men’s winner, Joey Chestnut, devoured 62 hot dogs. See what’s in store for 2024 by catching it on Sling TV.

This year’s competition has been a great success since Joey Chestnut was banned after signing a deal with Impossible Foods. Chestnut has been the first-place winner of Nathan’s Hot Dog Contest since 2007, except for 2015, when Matthew Stonie ate two more hot dogs and managed a total of 62. Usually, other male contestants can’t match Chestnut’s pace, meaning that for the first time in over 15 years, the men’s champion title – which comes with a $10,000 prize and a fabulous mustard yellow belt – is up for grabs.
