Report: Meghan Markle would love it if King Charles gave American Riviera Orchard his ‘stamp of approval’

According to a report, Meghan Markle is seeking the royal seal of approval for her new lifestyle brand.

The 42-year-old Duchess of Sussex unveiled her new business venture, “American Riviera Orchard,” in March with an Instagram post announcing the upcoming launch.

Since then, she has sent her celebrity friends jars of jam and dog biscuits and even hinted at a future rosé wine range.

But in a desperate attempt to boost sales, the Suits alum is now seeking the support of her estranged father-in-law, King Charles, even though she hasn’t seen him in years.

“Meghan is looking for support wherever she can get it,” a source told OK! magazine. “Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are at the top of her list, but she is aiming even higher and would love to get King Charles’s blessing.”

The insider claims that Markle hopes her husband, Prince Harry, will contact the Windsor clan to help her with her new business venture.

“She wants Harry to contact everyone in the family he still has access to,” the source said.

“She still believes there is a lot more support for her within the royal family than people admit and thinks it would be foolish not to ask for help.”

“Despite all the drama, Meghan doesn’t see why they can’t mobilise some support and backing,” the insider added.

While her new brand’s products aren’t yet available for sale, Markle sent jars of strawberry jam to an exclusive group of celebrities in April.

Last month, Nacho Figueras posted a picture of a jar of raspberry jam from Markle’s new lifestyle label, as well as a snap of his puppy sitting next to a jar of dog treats.

However, according to reports, the first item available to the public will be Markle’s rosé wine.

According to those close to Markle, the brand name is a nice nod to Santa Barbara, California, as the city has been nicknamed the “American Riviera” for over a century.

She and Harry also live here with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

In addition, a trademark application shows that the brand plans to sell tableware, drinkware, carafes, kitchen textiles and edible treats such as jellies, jams, marmalades and spreads.

The trademark application is pending review and aims at the approval of cookbooks.

According to reports, the mother of two could earn a whopping seven-figure sum in the first year after the brand’s launch.
