“I’d love to sit down with Roman at some point” – Cody Rhodes’ honest opinion on Roman’s reign | WWE News

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns have what many consider to be one of the greatest rivalries in wrestling history. Their epic battles culminated in the main event at WrestleMania 39 and 40. At WrestleMania 39, Roman Reigns emerged victorious over Cody Rhodes to retain the WWE Title. However, Cody Rhodes redeemed himself at WrestleMania 40 by defeating Roman Reigns to win the WWE Title, ending their intense rivalry on a high note.

Currently, Cody Rhodes is preparing for a six-man tag team match against The Bloodline at Money in the Bank 2024, where he will team up with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. Ahead of the event, Cody recently took part in a podcast where he candidly shared his thoughts on former WWE Champion Roman Reigns.

Here’s everything you need to know about Cody Rhodes’ recent interview

In an interview with The Pivot Podcast, Cody Rhodes shared his candid thoughts about his rival Roman Reigns and said:

“I think Roman and I are great opponents. I have nothing against Roman and I don’t think he likes me either, but when we see each other on the poster together, we get it. I’m supposed to beat you, you’re supposed to beat me, you’re supposed to be the benchmark, I want to be the benchmark.”

“I would love to sit down with Roman at some point. We’ve never done that before, sit down and talk. Even if we were to rewatch something, if WWE would organize it so that we would watch WrestleMania.”

“Just because our families have been connected for so long, it’s kind of destiny that brought us together. I don’t really believe in anything, but there’s this element of destiny and fate when he and I go head to head.”

Currently, fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Roman Reigns. The exact timing is still uncertain, but speculation points to a possible comeback at Money in the Bank. Recent developments within the Bloodline, particularly their actions towards Paul Heyman, suggest that Roman could intervene at the event to confront his former allies.

Money in the Bank 2024 promises intense tension as Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens prepare to battle The Bloodline. Tensions are rising, especially with the challenge of dealing with Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa. Cody and his team seem capable of dealing with Tonga and Loa, but Fatu and Sikoa pose a greater challenge.

In this critical situation, Roman Reigns emerges as a potential savior for Cody’s team. Given The Bloodline’s betrayal of Paul Heyman, Roman’s return seems inevitable and vengeful. This sets the stage for an epic storyline leading to SummerSlam 2024, where fans expect a showdown between former and current Bloodline members.
