Chris Brown storms off the set of “Good Morning America”

R&B singer Chris Brown stormed off the set of “Good Morning America” today after co-host Robin Roberts questioned him about his domestic violence incident with Rihanna.

“What’s happening now is that the restraining order was recently relaxed,” Roberts began, referring to the restraining order issued against Brown following his 2009 altercation with his ex-girlfriend, a pop star. “Have you all seen each other, been together?”

“I mean, not really,” Brown replied. “For me, this situation is no big deal now. I think that’s over in my life. I think today is the day the album comes out and that’s what I’m focused on. Everybody get the album.”

Roberts asked Brown twice more about the situation; as the conversation progressed, Brown seemed to get more and more agitated. After the interview, Brown played “Yeah 3x,” the first single from his new album “FAME.” As soon as the song was over, he let it rip.

Brown stormed off the stage and went back to his dressing room. Then he came down the hall, still backstage, and stopped when he saw the person who had produced the segment. Brown didn’t have his shirt on.

The show’s hair and makeup artists said they called security because they heard loud noises coming from Brown’s dressing room.

It was then discovered that a window in Brown’s dressing room had been smashed, with the thick glass shattered and scattered across the street below.

By the time the broken window was discovered, Brown and his team had already left the building. Paparazzi photos show the singer shirtless in front of the Times Square studio of “GMA.”

ABC News released a statement after the incident: “As always, we ask questions that are relevant and newsworthy, and that is what we did in this interview with Mr. Brown.”

In 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to assault during an altercation with Rihanna and was sentenced to five years’ probation and six months’ community service. His probation was reduced in February to a restraining order requiring him to stay 30 feet away from Rihanna.
