Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan surprised their fans when they officially divorced in 2014 after over 13 years of marriage. The reason for their separation remained a secret for years and both partners chose to keep quiet about it as they shared the upbringing of their two sons. Now, the interior designer’s mother Zarine Khan has opened up about her daughter’s love life in an interview with ETimes. “Arslan Goni’s family is very good”

Sussanne has been dating actor Arslan Goni, brother of television actor Aly Goni, for years, while Hrithik is in a relationship with actress Saba Azad. Talking about her daughter and Arslan, Zareen said, “Arslan is a law graduate and comes from a respected political family in Jammu. He is also interested in acting, so I wish him all the best for that. His family is very good and I am glad that Susanne and Arslan are happy together.”

Wedding plans?

Could Arslan and Susanne get married soon? Zareen said they are “focused on their careers”. She said, “If you find happiness with someone today, you are lucky. You don’t know what the future holds. Today, life is what you make of it… the age-old notion that you have to be married to be happy and content is no longer valid today. Women are independent, have careers and want to make their own decisions too. And marriage is a bond that doesn’t always bind you for life. So I am happy that Arslan and Susanne are happy together and focused on their careers.”

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan married in December 2000 and have two sons – Hrehaan, born in 2006, and Hridhaan, born in 2008.
