Live-Action Game “OSHI NO KO” Reveals Teaser Trailer and Visual

OSHI NO KO Fans can now take a new look at the live action OSHI NO KO Drama and film adaptation, thanks to a newly released teaser trailer and visuals.

The trailer contains colorful clips of idol performances (featuring the old and new B Komachis) and performances by the main cast. At the same time, the visual imitates the layout of a social media platform and shows various still images in this format.

There are also premiere dates: November 28 JST for the drama, which will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, and December 20 JST for the film. Comic Natalie reports that the OSHI NO KO The film follows on from the events of the eight-part drama series.

The live action OSHI NO KO Adaptations were announced in January. The cast includes Kaito Sakurai like Aqua, Asuka Saitou as Ai, Nagisa Saitou as Ruby, Nanoka Hara (the title heroine of Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume) as Kana Arima, Mizuki Kayashima as Akane Kurokawa and a as MEMcho.

The original OSHI NO KO Manga, written by Also known as Akasaka and drawn by Mengo Yokoyaribegan publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump in 2020 and will comprise 14 tankoubon volumes as of April 2024. DOGA KOBO-produced anime series premiered in 2023 and the second season starts on July 3 (JST).

Yen Press describes the manga as follows:

Gorou is a gynecologist and idol fan who is shocked when his favorite star, Ai, announces an impromptu break. Little does Gorou know that he is about to form a bond with her that defies all common sense! Lies are an idol’s most powerful weapon in this outrageous manga by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish).
