Katherine E. Love 1960-2024 – Franklin County Free Press

Katherine E. Love, 64, of Palmyra, PA, passed away on June 30, 2024, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

She was born on January 24, 1960 in Alma, GA, to the late JE Meeks and Shirley Baisden Meeks.

Katherine lived a remarkable life filled with diverse experiences and achievements. She diligently pursued her education and, after attending the University of Georgia, earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education with a minor in English from Georgia Southern University.

With her vibrant and enthusiastic personality, Katherine touched the lives of everyone she met. Her career included various managerial and waitressing positions before finding her calling as a medical practice manager at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Breast Care Center in Hershey, PA.

Outside of her professional activities, Katherine had a great passion for music, cooking, reading, history, movies and gardening. She also enjoyed sports and especially cheered for the Georgia Bulldogs football team, the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team and the New York Rangers hockey team.

She leaves behind her beloved husband Robert D. Love of Palmyra, her daughter Tiffany R. Meeks-Van Der Werf and son-in-law David J. Van Der Werf of Hummelstown, her son Robert Keith Wright, Jr. of Voorhees, NJ, her four beloved grandchildren Elijah, Kyree, PJ and Vivian, and her sister Sandra Jo Pohlman of Waycross, GA.

The service and burial will take place in private.
