Love Island viewers describe Casa Amor newcomer as “rude and disgusting”
What did you miss?
Love Island newcomer Blade Siddiqi has already gotten a flack from fans of the show, who have called him “rude and obnoxious.”
During her stay at Casa Amor, Blade competes with Moziah Pinder for Grace Jackson’s affections. But things get heated between the two newbies when Blade rudely interrupts a private moment.
He was confronted by Moziah, who received support from viewers as they called Blade’s behavior “embarrassing.”
What, how and why?
Blade, a contestant on Love Island Casa Amor, is unpopular with fans of the show due to his “rude” behaviour.
Blade and Moziah are both interested in Grace, but when Moziah sat down with her for a private conversation, Blade threw all manners aside and kidnapped her for his own conversation.
He interrupted Moziah mid-sentence to ask Grace to come with him to the fire pit instead, to which a shocked Moziah muttered, “Wild.”
But Moziah refused to be embarrassed by Blade and later reprimanded him for his behavior: “Out of pure respect, morals and values, you can’t just interrupt a conversation and take the person away. Do you think that was the right thing to do on any level, brother?”
Blade replied, “Am I supposed to just sit here and watch you talk to her all night?” before Grace herself interrupted and pulled Moziah in for a conversation and a kiss.
One shocked viewer commented to X: “I find Blade very rude and obnoxious and if I were Grace I would have told him to interrupt my conversation and wait!”
Someone else agreed: “There’s no way Blade would have done that to Grace and Moziah if he wasn’t physically the stronger man – this is such embarrassing behavior.”
Another person wrote: “Blade is so rude oh my god get lost,” and someone else added: “This Blade guy acts like he has to enter the villa no matter which girl it is.”
One viewer commented: “Fair play to Mosiah for saying Blade was rude and overconfident.”
What else happened on Love Island?
Fans have called on show bosses to stop turning the show into ‘Joey’s Island’ after another contestant, with whom Joey Essex has a history, arrived in the villa.
Towie star Joey is looking for love on ITV’s dating show after becoming the first celebrity bombshell to enter the show. His former flame Grace Jackson entered the villa earlier in the series and it emerged on Monday night’s show that he also knew new discovery Emma Milton.
Joey insisted to the others that he wasn’t dating Emma, but viewers suspect there’s more to it than that. And many have since said they’re sick of Joey hanging out with people he knows, with one posting on X that it’s getting “boring.”
Emma arrived during Monday’s show and entered the bedroom while Joey’s jaw dropped. He put his hands over his face and told the others, “I know her!”
“Can we please not have a repeat of the ‘Joey’s Ex’ saga with Emma,” wrote one viewer on X. “It’s getting boring.” “Why didn’t they bring in any of the girls’ ex-girlfriends, why always the boys’ ex-girlfriends?” asked someone else.
Another posted: “I don’t know why the producers are obsessed with Joey (yes I know REEM) but this is Love Island not Joey’s Island. I do NOT need to see any more of his affairs, ex-girlfriends or relationship problems.”
Love Island airs at 9pm on ITV2.
