It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Christine (Chris) Anderson on April 25, 2024, four years after being diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP).
Chris was born in Toronto on May 8, 1937, and was raised and educated in Belleville, Ontario. After attending business school in Toronto, she joined the Royal Bank (RBC) where she met the love of her life and future husband, Leigh.
The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary at home with family on April 18, 2024, just one week before Chris’ death.
The family moved to South Surrey from Stratford, Ontario in 1981 and Chris soon became involved in the White Rock and South Surrey community, making many friends along the way. She later trained as a real estate agent and joined Block Brothers Realty (NRS) in White Rock.
Chris was a wonderful, devoted and beloved wife, mother and grandmother and was the heart of her family. She will be sadly missed and will always be fondly remembered.
Chris leaves behind her husband Leigh, her children Tracey (Carl), Jamie (Linda) and Pattrick, and grandchildren Christian, Tanner, Taylor, Alisa, Ryleigh, Carter and Aiden.
A celebration of life for Christine is being planned and will be held at a later date.
