The 27th volume of Gege Akutami’s hit Jujutsu Kaisen The series recently hit bookstores in Japan and the franchise is celebrating in every way possible. In honor of Fumihiko Takaba, one of the main characters in the volume, Jujutsu Kaisen Recently, a live-action parody was released in which Takaba plays a “superhuman” high school teacher.

Via Comic Natalie, this sketch is a direct parody of Coca-Cola’s famous “Fanta Academy Series” – a series of parodic commercials that put the titular soda brand in the spotlight. In Jujutsu KaisenIn the version of “Choujin-sensei,” Takaba takes on the role of Fanta Academy’s “Choujin-sensei.” The iconic antagonist Kenjaku (also known as Pseudo-Geto) also makes an appearance near the end. Shonen Jump releases a Jujutsu Kaisen live-action parody of Coca-Cola’s Fanta

This is not the first time that Jujutsu Kaisen made fun of the Fanta brand. In Chapter 242 of the JJK Manga, Takaba faces off against Kenjaku during a major battle in the ongoing “Shinjuku Showdown” arc. Using his famous “Comedian” technique, Takaba can distort reality into any imagined scenario that he personally finds humorous. With this ability, he effortlessly transports himself and Kenjaku into the typically silly world of a Grape Fanta commercial. Several JujutsuKaisen Fans on X pointed out that this panel is a reference to an older gag that includes the phrases “Sea of Fanta” and “Fantasea.” To get the latest JJK Volume, Jujutsu KaisenAn enlarged color version of the Fanta panel was published on the official X page and has already been shared over 8,000 times at the time of writing.

Takaba’s time in the spotlight is a first for the franchise. In addition, neither main protagonist Yuji Itadori nor fan-favorite icon Satoru Gojo appear, both of whom frequently take the spotlight at marketing events and campaigns – a real rarity when it comes to JJK Marketing. The series has even more in store for Takaba (and Kenjaku) fans this month, however. From July 4 to 10, a WiFi-equipped promotional truck will be making the rounds in Tokyo’s Shibuya and Shinjuku districts, featuring Takaba’s famously corny one-liner, “I don’t want you as my WiFi!” In addition, those who manage to snap a snap of themselves next to the promotional truck will have a chance to win one of the costumes featured in JJK‘s Fanta parody video.
