Michigan State basketball targets receive updated rankings in ESPN Top 100

ESPN Recruiting recently updated its rankings of the top 100 high school players for the class of 2025. Many Michigan State University basketball players were also included in the rankings. Let’s see where they landed in the rankings.

Jalen Haralson, a five-star small forward, is now ranked No. 9. Haralson recently scheduled his official visit to East Lansing for September 14. Haralson comes from La Lumiere High School in Indiana, where other Spartans like Jeremy Fears and Jaren Jackson Jr. played.

Haralson spoke about his upcoming visit to Michigan State in an interview with On3.

“I’m going to visit them on Sept. 14. Coach (Mark) Montgomery was the coach that recruited me, but he went to Detroit-Mercy,” Haralson said. “Coach TK (Thomas Kelley) has since taken over. They’ve always been great, the whole coaching staff is recruiting me. Coach Saddi (Washington) recruited me at Michigan, now he’s at Michigan State, and he called me, too. With them, it’s a whole coaching staff thing. That’s one of the things I look for, which coaching staff is most interested in me, and Michigan State is at the top of that.”

Trey McKenney, a five-star shooting guard, is now ranked 14th. Like Haralson, McKenney has also scheduled his visit; however, his visit will take place in October. A recruit from Flint, Michigan, McKenney is a high priority for Izzo and his team because of his high scoring ability.

The last top priority recruit to have his ranking updated was Niko Bundalo. Bundalo, a five-star forward, is now ranked No. 25. Bundalo also has a visit to East Lansing scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 6. Head coach Tom Izzo could use his skills on his team, as he is a 6-foot-1 forward who can play deep in the post as well as go beyond the arc and spread the field.

Bundalo recently spoke to our Michael France and talked about his game on the pitch.

“I can handle the ball, I can shoot it,” Bundalo said. “I can rebound, I can drive the ball down the court. I can pass the ball. I can defend, I can defend, I can be a shot blocker. I think my ability to impact the game in different ways is my strength.”

These three players are all great players and would be great prospects for Izzo and the Spartans in their 2025 recruiting class.
