July 3 (UPI) – Warner Bros. previews the new film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.

The studio released a photo for the anime film on Wednesday, featuring the character Héra with the voice of Gaia Wise.

The new image shows Hera, a princess and daughter of Helm Hammerhand (Brian Cox), King of Rohan, on a white horse.

The War of the Rohirrim takes place in the world of JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the rings Book series. The film takes place 183 years before the film trilogy and tells the fate of Helm and his house.

“A sudden attack by Wulf (Luke Pasqualino), a cunning and ruthless Dunlending lord bent on avenging his father’s death, forces Helm and his people to make a daring last stand in the ancient fortress of Hornburg – a mighty fortress later known as Helm’s Deep. In an increasingly desperate situation, Héra, daughter of Helm, must muster the will to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy bent on their utter destruction,” says an official synopsis.

The War of the Rohirrim Directed by Kenji Kamiyama, a Japanese filmmaker who also co-directed Blade Runner: Black Lotus and worked on the Ghost in the Shell: Stand-Alone Complex series. Peter Jackson, the director of the Lord of the rings And The Hobbit trilogies, is executive producer.

Lord of the rings Star Miranda Otto returns as Éowyn, the narrator of the new film. Lorraine Ashbourne, Yazdan Qafouri, Benjamin Wainwright, Laurence Ubong Williams, Shaun Dooley, Michael Wildman, Jude Akuwudike, Bilal Hasna and Janine Duvitski also have speaking roles.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim will be in theaters on December 13th.
