Shelton man charged with producing child sexual abuse images

Ross DeLibro, 53, of Shelton, was charged with producing child pornography in June following an investigation by the Connecticut State Police and the Department of Homeland Security.

According to court documents, a detective with the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit launched an investigation in March into the sharing of child sexual abuse images and videos via a peer-to-peer file-sharing network.

The investigation revealed that an Internet address associated with DeLibros’s Shelton residence had been used to download child sexual abuse videos.

On Wednesday, May 1, investigators conducted a court-ordered search of DeLibros’s home and seized his Apple MacBook Air, iPhone, an external hard drive and other items.

An analysis of the seized items revealed image and video files depicting sexual abuse of male children, including two images showing DeLibro engaging in sexually explicit conduct with a young child, court documents show.

The production of child pornography is punishable by a prison sentence of at least 15 years and a maximum of 30 years.

DeLibro has been behind bars since his arrest in June.
