The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest again next year when the contest travels to Switzerland. RTL, the Luxembourg national broadcaster, has opened the window for submitting songs for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.

Luxembourg will hold a televised national final at the end of January 2025 to select its Eurovision act and entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Luxembourg’s national broadcaster has opened the song submission window for artists wishing to submit their entries by 1 January 2025. October 6, 2024An expert jury will then evaluate all submitted entries and select them for the national final.

Conditions of participation

Artists must:

  • Be at least 16 years old on January 1, 2025
  • You hold Luxembourg nationality, have lived in Luxembourg for 3 consecutive years or are anchored in the Luxembourg cultural scene.
  • Be available between November 2024 and May 2025
  • Being able to sing live on stage
  • If you are competing as a band or group, at least one member must meet these previous conditions

Song requirements:

  • Maximum length of 3 minutes
  • Must not have been published or publicly performed before September 1, 2024
  • Each artist/group can submit up to 5 songs
  • Must be an original composition
  • Language is freely selectable

Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest

Luxembourg is one of the founding members of the Eurovision Song Contest and has won the competition five times. In 2024, the Grand Duchy took part in the contest again after a 30-year break. In 2024, Tali represented Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest with her entry “Fighter”.
