Bigfoot for President campaign launches at Petoskey gift shop

PETOSKEY – Undecided voters can expect a new candidate in November after Bigfoot launched his presidential campaign in Petoskey Wednesday morning.

The announcement was made at a press conference in front of The Katydid in downtown Petoskey, where citizens and Bigfoot’s campaign team gathered in support.

“Hello America, it is my honor to stand before you today to announce the candidacy of a truly unique and remarkable individual for President of the United States,” said Jennifer Shorter, manager of the novel presidential campaign and owner of The Katydid and two neighboring stores.

In his speech, Bigfoot outlined the three main points of his program: environmental protection, inclusivity and transparency.

“It’s time for someone with big ideas (and even bigger feet) to lead this country,” said Bigfoot. “Join me on this wild adventure. Together we will make history – and maybe even a little mystery. Remember: A vote for me is a vote for America to take one giant step forward.”

Bigfoot planned to continue his campaign with a float in the Grandpa Shorter’s Gifts Fourth of July parade in downtown Petoskey.
