Travis Kelce reveals the ‘Golden Rule’ he had for Taylor Swift’s concert performance

Travis Kelce was recently no longer just a spectator, but actually part of Taylor Swift’s show. And according to the football star, there was one “golden rule” that applied to him on stage: Don’t let the pop star fall.

In case you missed it, Kelce surprised fans at Swift’s final tour stop in London in late June when he appeared onstage in a full suit (including top hat) along with the men who usually carry Swift around the stage to help her change into a new outfit for “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.”

Of course, Kelce was carrying his girlfriend all by himself, being the person he is. And while discussing the moment with his brother on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast, the NFL star admitted that his only focus was maintaining his balance and strength.

“The only thing I told myself is, ‘Don’t drop the baby,'” he said. “‘Don’t drop Taylor when you walk to that damn couch.'”

A man hugs a woman on the field on a soccer field. He is wearing a red jersey while she is wearing a black top. They are surrounded by media and others in front of a large crowd.

Thankfully, he didn’t, and the moment sparked an outcry from viewers when they realized who exactly Swift was wearing. In the same podcast conversation, Kelce also revealed that it was actually his idea to be a part of the show.

He reportedly suggested that he come on stage with her, and when she asked him if he was serious, Kelce assured her that he was.

“I’ve seen the show enough times. I might as well just stand in line here,” he said. “Of course she found the perfect part of the show for me.”
