Rekha Bhardwaj says her new song is ‘nourishing’

MUMBAI, (IANS) – National Award-winning playback singer Rekha Bhardwaj, who lent her voice to the recently released song “Nikat” from the upcoming film “Kill”, called him a source of nourishment.

“Nikat” is the second song from the film after “Kaawaa Kaawaa” and was composed by Haroon Gavin with lyrics by Siddhant Kaushal.

The song describes the longing to be close to a loved one and shows how love leaves such a deep impression that you want nothing more than to be near your loved one. It conveys the feeling that once you are in love, there is no escape.

Talking about the song, Rekha said, “Nikat’ is more than just a song; it is a feeling, a source of nourishment and a powerful energy boost. We hope it crosses boundaries and touches hearts with its deep emotional levels and vitality conveyed through the singing.”

Composer Haroon Gavin commented, “Rekha ji’s evocative voice with its nuances and subtle pauses (‘thaharaav’) became an integral part of the narrative we wanted to create. It was a journey where all the pieces of the puzzle came together effortlessly and I look forward to sharing this musical story with the world.”
