A reggaeton singer experienced a terrifying moment on stage when his hair accidentally caught fire in the middle of a performance.

Reykon – real name Andrés Robledo – entertained the crowd in Neiva, Colombia on Sunday night before things took a wild turn.

Footage of the concert made the rounds on social media, showing the exact second a flame device set his hair on fire.

The 37-year-old took a second to wipe something off his arm as the flames reached his head.

He managed to complete the rest of the show like a total pro and was quickly examined by professionals as he left the stage.

Another clip showed a paramedic examining him after the ordeal – but his hair didn’t look singed when he had his breakthrough behind the scenes.

Reykon has not yet commented publicly on the incident, but was active on social media following the fire.

The musician is not the first to be caught in the crossfire – Metallica legend James Hetfield almost lost his life during a performance in Montreal in 1992 when he caught fire in front of over 50,000 fans.

The rock icons were told that pyrotechnics had been ramped up for the exciting show, but things got out of control when James accidentally stepped into a huge flame.

“I’m a little confused and don’t know where I’m supposed to be, and then the pyrotechnician doesn’t see me and whoosh, a big colorful flame shoots up right underneath me,” he told VH-1’s “Behind The Music.”

“I’m burned. My arm, my hand, down to the bone. The side of my face. My hair is gone. Part of my back. I saw the skin dissolving, all these things going wrong.”

He quickly fell to the ground and rolled across the stage while attempting to extinguish himself, sustaining second degree burns to his hand and arms.

“I was in shock,” he added. “The nerves felt like they were exposed. My hand looked the worst. It had blisters in two layers that then peeled off. It was pretty much the worst pain I’ve ever felt.”

Speaking to People Magazine about the fire, Jason Newsted recalled, “If he had inhaled, he would have been dead.”
