Willie Nelson’s team reveals that the singer is “looking forward to seeing everyone” despite health concerns

Legendary country singer Willie Nelson is allowed to go on tour again. Well, sort of.

On Tuesday, July 2, Nelson’s team shared the promising update on Nelson’s Instagram page, revealing that the Texas native was looking forward to “seeing everyone in Camden for the Fourth of July.”

This suggests that the 91-year-old singer will attend Willie Nelson’s Fourth of July Picnic at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey on Thursday, July 4.

On Friday, June 28, Nelson’s team announced that the “Always on My Mind” singer had been given the green light by his doctors to “get back on the road” and return to the Outlaw Music Festival Tour “next week.” However, iHeartMedia reported that Nelson did not perform at the tour stop in Mansfield, Massachusetts on Tuesday, July 2.

Nelson’s team said in an Instagram post on Friday, June 21, that the “Let It Be Me” singer was “not feeling well.” So far, Nelson has not performed on the Outlaw Music Festival tour, which kicked off in Alpharetta, Georgia, the same day his team first announced he was unwell.

Neither Nelson, his son Lukas Nelson, who is representing him on the Outlaw Music Festival tour, nor his management team have disclosed what exactly is going on with the Grammy-winning singer’s health.

At the moment, Nelson’s fans and family seem to be hoping for the recovery of the man from Abbott, Texas.

The next stop on the 2024 Outlaw Music Festival Tour will be in Bethel, New York on Saturday, July 6th before moving on to Hershey, Pennsylvania on Sunday, July 7th.
