Hi everyone, I’m back with the second entry in an urban fantasy series about the adventures of Brandon for this week’s Bookish Wednesday. It’s “Silver Magi, Book 2” by D. Levesque.

Action: This second entry starts with the main character Brandon learning more about what he is: some sort of ancestor or Elveesian, though only he really knows. Honestly, this is a pretty short entry in a series that isn’t particularly innovative. Again, I keep drawing similarities between this and The Valens Legacy series.

Characters: As with the first book in the series, I didn’t like the characters that much. We did meet a few new characters, but it was mostly just Brandon and his “girls.” Brandon is way too opinionated for a 30-year-old guy, a fact that I keep stumbling over as it makes less and less sense the further I get into the series.

In total: A somewhat poor second installment in an already poor series. Some may enjoy it, but beware if urban fantasy isn’t your thing.
