Chris Jones asks Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes to re-sign their former teammate at the Kansas City Chiefs

THe Kansas City Chiefs have one last spot to fill in the squad for the 2024/25 NFL season and Chris Jones has a firm fit for the one he wants to take as he demands Andy Reid sign Frank Clarkalthough the scope for the salary cap could be a problem.

Clarkwho played with the Missori-based team from 2019 to 2022, clearly made an impression by helping them win Super Bowls LIV and LVII before moving to the Denver Broncos And The Seattle Seahawks.

Andy Reid’s epic performance for a commercial shows his love for cheeseburgers

But now the linebacker who has the third-most sacks in NFL postseason history is free after being released by the The Seahawks on December 30th and Jones feels that the 31-year-old is a missing personality in the Chiefs‘ Camp.

“@chiefs please bring him back @stonecoldjones95 please help bring him back,” read the appeal posted on Instagram on Tuesday, July 2, to which Jones echoed his online response.

“Bring back the slime” Jones said and posted the picture of Clark working out in the gym and looking in good shape on his personal Instagram account. Jones does not feel that his own voice is sufficient.

In the past, he said he was simply not as influential as other voices in the Chiefs Stock like Patrick Mahomesthe team’s star quarterback and franchise player, so perhaps he’s hoping the three-time Super Bowl winner will support his cause.

Money could be a problem

The Chiefs‘ The last roster spot is up for grabs and with $13 million in salary cap space, it could be a decent payday for an unemployed player like Frank if he is willing to accept a salary cut compared to what he would have received Broncos And The Seahawksbut that is uncertain.

And it is equally uncertain whether the Chiefs will sign anyone at all. They don’t need to fill the entire roster right now, and they could wait until after their training camp to see if there are any immediate weaknesses they didn’t notice before.

For example, last season they were caught off guard by a sudden issue with a receiver that nearly brought their offense to a halt, while their defense basically saved their season by keeping them in the game just long enough to make the playoffs, which they eventually won.
