Swifties had to wait an extra week, but thanks to the latest episode of his New Heights podcast, they finally got the full breakdown of Travis Kelce’s performance on stage at the Eras Tour with Taylor Swift. In this week’s episode, the season 2 finale, Jason Kelce let his little brother spill the beans on his performance during the finale in London.
The Kansas City Chief surprised the crowd (and anyone watching online) when he came off the stage during the break before Swift’s “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.” According to Kelce, he brought the idea up as a casual joke to his girlfriend of nearly a year and she found the best spot where he could fit in seamlessly.
“I mentioned it to Tay,” Travis explained. “I thought, ‘How fun would it be if I just rode off on one of the bikes during the 1989 “How am I supposed to do this?'” The pair decided the combination of Kelce and riding bikes was too much, but the 14-time Grammy winner had a solution.
When Swift gave the impression that she really wanted to make this happen, Travis joked that it was time to make a living. “I’ve seen the show enough times, so I might as well get in line here,” he said.

As he took the stage, Kelce immersed himself again in his football practice, telling himself over and over, “Don’t drop the baby.”
“The golden rule was, ‘Don’t drop Taylor,'” he added.
Travis Kelce “I kept telling myself, don’t drop the baby, don’t drop Taylor… because in that ball are our dreams, goals and aspirations. Don’t drop the ball” 🥰🥹😭 pic.twitter.com/HtK1eCaaQP
