Travis Kelce raves about his performance with Taylor Swift in London
Travis Kelce had a blast performing alongside Taylor Swift at her Eras tour concert in London.
The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end raved about his surprise sketch on Wednesday’s episode of his podcast “New Heights,” sarcastically saying it was “not at all” for him to be “a show-off.”
He enthused: “I was up there with three professionals. You can’t go wrong with Taylor on stage. (I kept telling myself): ‘Don’t drop the baby. Hold on to it.'”
Kelce explained to his brother and co-host Jason Kelce how the cameo came about, admitting that he was the one who “originally mentioned it” to his girlfriend.
“I thought to myself, ‘How funny would it be if I just rolled out on one of those bikes in the ’89’ era?'” he recalls. “She started laughing and said, ‘Would you seriously be willing to do something like that?'”
“I thought, ‘What? I’d love to do that. Are you serious? I’ve seen the show enough times that I might as well work here,'” Travis continued. “She found the perfect part of the show to use me. … It was kind of the safest option.”
Travis shocked concertgoers in June when he appeared onstage during a transition into the set of “Tortured Poets Department.”
The sportsman, wearing a tailored suit and top hat, carried Swift across the stage bridal-style before laying her on a red bed – repeatedly telling himself not to “mess this up”.
Then, while the other dancers helped the pop star change out of her white evening gown and into a two-piece, Travis jokingly fanned himself and told Jason that he based his moves on Jim Carey from Dumb and Dumber.
While Swift stayed true to her role, Kelce, who said he felt “tiny” on stage, couldn’t hold back his smile – which he captured in her subsequent, smitten Instagram post.
Before she started with “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” the 14-time Grammy winner discreetly blew her boyfriend a kiss.
Travis attended all three of Swift’s sold-out shows across the pond, while Jason and his wife Kylie Kelce were in town for the first two, missing their family member’s big stage debut.
Travis and Swift fell in love fast and hard after they started dating last summer.
During an appearance on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast released Tuesday, the three-time Super Bowl champion revealed why he fell in love with the “Cruel Summer” singer.
Travis told co-hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan that Swift didn’t want any special treatment when he first invited her to one of his Chiefs games.

“She just walked through the front door,” he recalls. “I didn’t talk to security to make sure she got to her (seat). She just said, ‘I just want to be with my family and friends and experience this with everyone.'”
“She’s in the thick of it. She wants to be there. She wants to support me and do things like that,” he said. “She really convinced me.”
Despite her fame, Swift is “very confident” and down-to-earth, Travis explained.
“She understands these situations and I think that’s why I really fell in love with her, she’s so genuine in her dealings with friends and family.”
When asked how he has coped with the increased spotlight, Travis said he is “proud” to be with Swift and has accepted everything that comes with it.
“You want to keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything,” he said. “This is my girl. This is my woman. I’m proud of that.”
