Cody Gakpo joins the Dutch royal family with his latest goal at EURO 2024 🥉

The Netherlands made a brilliant start to the EURO 2024 round of 16 against Romania and it was The a man again.

Cody Gakpo scored his third goal of the tournament, making him one of the top scorers, and also became one of the Dutch football kings with his opening goal in the 20th minute.

The Liverpool striker became the sixth Oranje player to score three or more goals in a single European Championship season.

He joins Dennis Bergkamp and Georginio Wijnaldum in the ranks of hat-trick scorers and could come even closer to other legends such as Patrick Kluivert and Marco Van Basten.

Gakpo’s goal was also his sixth in consecutive international tournaments with Ronald Koeman’s team – a feat achieved by only two other Dutch legends.

And there could be more records to come if his country continues to survive the knockout rounds.
