Ellison Construction receives contract for construction of the exclusive club “The Elliott”

Ellison Construction has been selected to build a new high-end private club in downtown Tampa called “The Elliott.”

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer on the members-only club at 500 E. Kennedy Blvd. It will include restaurants and bars, a jazz lounge, a spa, a rooftop terrace, a cigar room and elegant event spaces. A racquet program is also planned.

“Ellison Construction has an outstanding track record and years of experience building some of Tampa Bay’s most recognizable and iconic buildings, and we are confident they will raise the bar to a new level with The Elliott,” co-developers Courtney and Jason Kuhn of Kuhn Automotive Group said in a statement.

Ellison Construction is known in Tampa for its notable projects such as Hotel Haya, The Stovall House, Armature Works and The Oxford Exchange.

The Elliott will be housed in a building originally designed in 1921 by renowned architect M. Leo Elliott, for whom the club is named. Designers plan to preserve the building’s history and features.

“Reuse projects are our company’s strengths, and we are honored to have been selected to bring The Elliott to life. Kuhn’s vision for this club will breathe new life into this exceptional building in downtown Tampa and, we believe, significantly elevate design performance in the downtown market,” said Cory Ellison, President of Ellison Construction.

The Elliott is scheduled to open in 2026.
