‘The Voice’ fans freak out over ‘epic’ coaching news for Adam Levine and Kelsea Ballerini

The voice Season 26 is still months away, but the show is already spilling some significant Tea about who will return to the show for Season 27 in spring 2025.

To the surprise and delight of long-time fans The voice revealed by Deadline the original coach Adam Levine will return to the series as a coach in season 27 after leaving season 20 in 2021. Adam will also be replaced by John Legend (which will tour for its 26th season in fall 2024), Michael Buble and newbie Kelsea Balleriniwho makes her debut as a trainer after appearing in previous seasons of the show.

As if that hadn’t excited the fans enough, The voice posted an official announcement video of Adam on Instagram on June 5, expressing his excitement about returning to the NBC series.

“Season 27, yes, I’m coming back,” he said in the clip, already showing off some of his classic antics. “I’m so excited. I can’t wait. I’m well rested. I’m ready to go. I’m a little nervous… I’m not nervous, but I’m so excited and it’s going to be great. I can’t wait. It’s going to be amazing… Team Adam is back and I feel bad for the other teams. Here we go.”

It was no surprise that fans were immediately excited and couldn’t wait to share their excitement about Adam’s return. The voice for season 27.

“Omg I love this 🥹❤️,” one person wrote in the comments. “YES 🔥🔥🔥 He’s back 🔥 It’s going to be amazing 😍 It’s going to be awesome 💪 It’s going to be epic 🔥,” another declared. “Ohhhhhhhh I’m so happy ♥️🔥,” another follower added.

While Adam is excited to join The voice and we can’t forget that Kelsea will make her long-awaited debut as a coach in the same season!

Fans remember that Kelsea initially joined The voice Family in Season 15 when she was a coach for the comeback phase of the competition, and came back for Season 16 as a consultant for Kelly Clarkson during the battle rounds and filled in for Kelly for a while in season 20.

Additionally, Kelsea is clearly excited to coach her own team, as evidenced by her joint post with the show on Instagram. “From the first coach of the comeback phase, to an advisor, to a substitute, to AN OFFICIAL COACH AT THE VOICE SPRING 2025,” the caption read. “Welcome, #TeamKelsea!”
