HEART postpones show in Grand Rapids after lead singer’s cancer diagnosis

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan – HEART announced it is postponing its remaining shows after lead singer Ann Wilson learned she has cancer.

The band’s performance was scheduled for August 21 at the Van Andel Arena.

Wilson made the following statement about her diagnosis:

Dear friends,

I had surgery to remove something that turned out to be cancerous.

The operation was successful and I feel great, but my doctors are now advising me to have preventative chemotherapy and I have decided to do that.

That’s why my doctors advised me to take a break from performing for the rest of the year to fully recover.

To those who bought tickets: I really wish we could do these shows. Please know that I fully intend to be back on stage in 2025. My team is sorting out these details and we will share the plan with you as soon as possible.

Thank you all for your support.
This is just a break.
I still have a lot more to sing.

Love,
Ann Wilson

With all due respect, this is the last public statement I wish to make on this matter.

Ticket holders are advised to hold onto their tickets as they will be valid on the new show dates. Please check the band’s website for up-to-date information.
