Calgary, Canada (July 2, 2024) – Loudspeaker manufacturer PK Sound and its North American distributor ACT Entertainment have announced the upcoming Tx Series – point source modules designed to complement PK’s robotic line array range. The new performance installation series is expected to begin shipping in late Q4 2024.

The Milan-enabled Tx Series point source modules represent a complete system that offers sporty control and optimization via PK .dynamics software. The new offering includes the Tx26, which offers controlled 100-degree cone directivity with a frequency response of 55 Hz-18 kHz and a peak SPL of 133 dB. Its pair of 6-inch vented tetracoil transducers with custom phase plugs controls the low frequency response, while a 1-inch HT polymer diaphragm compression driver handles high frequencies.

The larger Tx14 offers controlled directivity of 50 degrees by 70 degrees with a frequency response of 50 Hz to 18 Hz and a maximum sound pressure level of 138.5 dB, driven by a high-quality 14-inch coaxial transducer with a 3-inch neodymium diaphragm compression driver. As a floor monitor, the Tx14 has a natural tilt of 35 degrees, which can be extended to 55 degrees via the integrated stand feet.

Equipped with PK Sound’s patented multi-axis robotics, the T8’s performance is said to be regulated down to 400 Hz in both the vertical and horizontal planes, with peak sound pressure levels of up to 143.5 dB. PK Sound’s VE15 1,400 W Class D two-channel amplifier provides power for each Tx module. The integrated DSP and audio-video bridging (AVB) network endpoints are routed via the world’s first implementation of Neutrik’s IP65-rated DR series connectors.
