Famous celebrity spotted watching sea lions on Oregon coast

I am a huge fan of the Irwin family and love their work protecting wildlife in Australia.

Robert Irwin, the son of famous “crocodile hunter” Steve Irwin and animal rights activist Terri Irwin, was recently spotted on the Oregon coast watching sea lions sunbathe and squabble. My wife and I were at the exact spot in Newport where the sea lions like to lounge and sleep.

Robert took a video of the sea lions and as always his amazing Australian accent with commentary is worth seeing.

One might almost expect his famous father, who died years ago from a fatal stingray bite, to channel his aura through young Robert.

If you’re wondering why Robert Irwin was in Oregon, he was a guest speaker at the University of Oregon’s annual environmental justice conference and had the opportunity to do some videotaping, according to a KOIN 6 article.

Terri Irwin, Robert’s mother, has roots in Oregon, having been born and raised in Eugene.
