Kevin Bacon and Glenn Howerton join Netflix miniseries “Sirens”

Kevin Bacon (City on a hill) and Glenn Howerton (it’s always sunny in Philadelphia) are part of Netflix’s dark mini-comedy series Sirenswith Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy and Milly Alcock as headliners.

Created by Molly Smith Metzler (maid) based on her piece Elemeno pea and executive producer is LuckyChap, Sirens revolves around three women, Devon, Simone and Michaela. Devon (Fahy) finds that her sister Simone (Alcock) has a really creepy relationship with her new boss, the mysterious socialite Michaela Kell (Moore). Michaela’s cult-like lifestyle of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention. Told over the course of an explosive weekend at the Kells’ lavish beachfront estate, Sirens is described as a sharp, sexy and darkly humorous examination of women, power and class.

Bacon plays Michaela’s husband Peter Kell, who comes from a wealthy family and is the highest-status person in every room he walks into. He is an avid outdoorsman who also enjoys smoking the occasional joint.

Howerton plays Ethan Corbin II, a good friend of the Kells and a lifelong bachelor who lives next door. He is a regular at the yacht club and is quickly depleting his trust fund.

Writer and showrunner Metzler is an executive producer of Quiet Coyote as part of her deal with Netflix. Dani Gorin, Tom Ackerley and Margot Robbie are executive producers of LuckyChap. Nicole Kassell is an executive producer and director.

Howerton continues to star in FX’s It is always sunny in Philadelphia, which is entering its 17th season. Most recently he was in the indie film blackberryand received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Independent Spirit Awards and the Gotham Awards. Howerton is repped by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.

Bacon can be seen in two high-profile summer films that hit theaters this week. MaXXXine And Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F most recently with the leading role in the Netflix hit Leave the world behind. He is also the headliner of the upcoming Prime Video series The servant. Bacon is repped by WME, MGMT Entertainment and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.
