Today’s Democratic leadership, aided and abetted by like-minded Republicans, the DC Politburo (swamp), and rich, globalist oligarchs, seems to me perfectly poised to align their position, wealth, and power with the Marxist-Communist axis of the Chinese (Xi Jinping – CCP) Empire and the Russian (Putin’s “resurrected USSR”) Empire. All they have to do, in my view, in the face of a “cycloptic,” supportive media landscape, is: Continue to undermine the Constitution of the United States of America by employing widely known and broadcast practices such as open borders + fentanyl + no bail + corrupt elections and more! Such as: “In-Dungeoning” President Donald J. Trump and the “January 6 Political Prisoners”!
And disarm and deprogram all citizens who own guns (“deplorables”). Eliminate all doubters and then subject all who remain to peon/serf status! My observations, my summaries, my opinions.
Media should report on Trump
What’s wrong with the establishment media? After reading “Biden’s frustration with the media is boiling over” (bit.ly/3OWo2LF), I’d say it took a long time for them to boil over! I’ve been frustrated with the media’s misrepresentation of the Biden administration for nearly three years. With the 2024 general election approaching and Trump’s dismaying popularity among his duped, lied to, and deceived supporters (bit.ly/3IdraPi), I’m angrier than ever with the media.
Trump, a seditious would-be dictator who has been accused of serious crimes (bit.ly/3UwYcS6), is given plenty of airtime and print time. Yet Trump’s destructive intentions regarding Plan 2025 are almost silent in the commercial media. If elected president, Trump’s intention is to implement the Heritage Foundation’s Plan 2025 (bit.ly/3SQEnTe) to undermine our democratic republic, disregard the rule of law, circumvent or reinterpret the U.S. Constitution, undermine the EPA, and reject climate science, among many other heretical goals (bit.ly/49srUvY).
An analogy to Plan 2025, in my opinion, is Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale (a depiction of a dystopian fascist theocratic America) mixed with Orwell’s 1984 – in effect Orwellian Christian nationalism. In reality, it is anti-truth, anti-Christian and anti-American.
What on earth is wrong with these so-called journalists? Why are they practically silent? Don’t they see that history is beginning to repeat itself? Only this time it’s not about Germany and Hitler, but about the USA and Trump.
The media has not yet turned on its political tsunami sirens, but they should be playing at full volume.
At the same time, despite the constant blockade by the right-wing Republican in Congress, the mainstream media is failing to report on Biden’s numerous accomplishments. Moreover, the media is not effectively reporting on the destructive consequences of this long-term blockade for all of us Americans. Instead, the mainstream media is eagerly reporting on Biden’s recent gaffes and the pundits’ concerns about his age, while saying nothing about what I believe is a mentally crippled and emotionally retarded, if not downright sick, Trump.
The sirens of the political tsunami have gone off, but the mainstream media is making a lot of noise about the trivial aspects of American politics.
This opinion (bit.ly/4cD5QA2) reflects what the media should publish/say about Trump and the Biden administration.
In response to the comment before the City Council of The Dalles, as in News from the Columbia Gorge of June 19: “We don’t want to be Hood River”: On this point, I can assure the speaker that he has no reason to worry.
Many hard-working Trump supporters believe that Republican economic policies are better for them and the country. For most Americans, the economy means our ability to provide for ourselves. Since the COVID pandemic, our economic recovery has been marked by high inflation rates. Despite Biden’s successful policies to curb inflation and invest in infrastructure, repair supply chains, and domestic manufacturing, some Americans mistakenly believe that Republican and Trump policies will ease their financial burden.
A recent Moody’s Analytics analysis of Trump’s proposed economic policies found that they would trigger a recession by mid-2025, costing millions of jobs, increasing inflation and reducing economic growth. Republican economic policies, which include drastic tax cuts for the wealthy, deporting over 10 million immigrants and raising tariffs on most imports, would significantly hurt workers, consumers and businesses and add trillions to the national debt. Consider this fact: None of the Fortune 100 CEOs (mostly registered Republicans) donated to Trump’s campaign.
Even the American Enterprise Institute, a conservative think tank, agrees that Trump’s tariff plan would harm the American economy. The chief economist of Moody’s summed up his analysis with this clear statement: Biden’s policies are better for the economy. Sources:
The community of Underwood has one of the most beautiful overlooks in the canyon. People from all over the world have the opportunity to enjoy the views of the Hood River Valley, Mount Hood, and the Columbia River. However, there are people who do not respect the beauty of these public overlooks. Currently, our small community has to deal with political graffiti and trash at these locations. Please do not deface this area. Take your trash with you and find a better way to express your views. It would be a shame to restrict access to these overlooks.
I’ve never had to contact the Hood River County Public Works Department until this week when the grass in the ditch where our driveway meets the road had grown so high that we could no longer see cars driving down the road. I called the public works department to ask what they could do. The call was answered promptly and she explained that the crew was in the process of sealing the road with chippings, but she would notify the supervisor. Totally understandable. So I was pleasantly surprised when later that same week the lawn mower came and mowed down the 5-foot-tall knapweed. It’s easy to complain, so I made a point of complimenting the staff on their quick response to my concern.
During my career at a major university hospital, I was the director of an inpatient medical unit. Patients had a dual diagnosis of a medical and a psychiatric problem. It is not appropriate for me to diagnose, but the behavior of the 45th President reminds me of a person with narcissistic personality disorder. Performance art is his niche, governing is not.
After watching the debate between Trump and Biden, there were some obvious differences. Biden (I admit) was slower to respond, but that’s because he thinks carefully about what he’s going to say. He looked at issues and facts. Trump, on the other hand, opened his mouth to spout baseless verbal nonsense.
Consider this one-line quote from Donald Trump from Sun City, South Carolina, on July 21, 2015: “Look, nuclear power – my uncle was a great professor, scientist and engineer. Dr. John Trump at MIT, good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart – you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I was a liberal, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people in the world – that’s true – but if you’re a conservative Republican, they try to – oh, they’re doing a number – that’s why I always start with: I went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune – you know, I have to give my credentials all the time because we’re a little bit disadvantaged – but look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me – it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives (nuclear power is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he explained to me the power of what’s going to happen and he was right – who would have thought?), but if you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners – it used to be three, now it’s four – but when it was three and even now, I would say it’s all on the messenger; boys, and it’s on boys because, you know, they haven’t realized that the women are smarter than the men right now, they’re going to need about another 150 years – but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, they just killed, they just killed us.”
Personally, I want an intelligent person to lead our country.
