Top 5 ways Delta adds value to your travelers

Top 5 ways Delta adds value to your travelers

1. Fast, free Wi-Fi with Delta Sync | Value from 30,000 feet

As part of our mission to connect the business world, Delta Business is constantly looking for innovative ways to support your travelers and help them achieve your company’s goals.

In the case of Delta’s industry-leading fast, free Wi-Fi, presented by T-Mobile, this has resulted in significant cost savings for business travelers, with over 50 million business travelers already signed up.

Since the introduction of fast, free Wi-Fi and Delta Sync in February 2023:

  • Millions of travelers have joined Delta SkyMiles by accessing Delta Sync Wi-Fi, making them eligible not only for free Wi-Fi, but also for connected experiences that make traveling with Delta unique, rewarding and memorable.
  • Over 44 million travelers have recorded over 50 million streaming quality sessions on board
  • 680+ aircraft are equipped with fast, free Wi-Fi, which represents the majority of Delta’s domestic flights

SkyMiles members have access to fast, free Wi-Fi on over 80% Delta’s core fleet, and by the end of this year the vast majority of customers are expected to have access to Delta’s entire global fleet.

2. Fly Delta App 6.0 | Our most comprehensive app update since 2019

In May, Delta released Fly Delta 6.0, our most comprehensive update to the Fly Delta app in over five years.

The updates include a range of new and enhanced features, functionality and experiences that redefine how customers interact with Delta, providing them with an even more seamless and enjoyable experience. These include:

  • Boarding pass always available: Customers can access their boarding information continuously and easily through the “Today” mode, which displays a pinned banner that accompanies customers as they move through the app.
  • Help Center View: This feature makes the unexpected easier. In moments when Delta flights experience travel disruptions, travelers are presented with a simplified view of all the actions they need to take to continue their journey – from flight change options to baggage tracking to easy access to virtual assistance. This puts the power of the Delta customer care team at their fingertips and allows them to personalize their travel experience even more.
  • Everything is where it should be with updated, user-friendly navigation: Easily browse the app using an optimized navigation ribbon that better reflects how customers interact with the app today. The new My Trips tab brings relevant information about upcoming trips into a standalone view, mirroring how customers navigate the delta.com homepage.

3. Delta Digital ID | Pass through security with ease

At Delta, we are committed to creating airports designed for seamless speed, leveraging digital innovations to simplify travelers’ journeys from curb to gate.

Available to TSA PreCheck members who enroll through the Fly Delta app, Delta Digital ID is an optional facial recognition technology that allows your travelers to check bags and go through security completely hands-free.

With Delta Digital ID, travelers benefit from the following advantages:

  • 75% faster Baggage drop-off transactions (from 2 minutes to 30 seconds)
  • 72% faster Transactions with security (from 25 seconds to 7 seconds)

At five Delta hubs – ATL, DTW LAX and New York’s LGA and JFK airports – your eligible travelers can now move through these airports using Delta Digital ID technology without showing a physical ID.

Look for Delta Digital ID at additional Delta hubs by the end of 2024.
