In the fictional world of EA Sports’ new College Football 25 video game, Michigan’s defense is in action in another national championship game.

In a new trailer released Tuesday, linebacker Ernest Hausmann was seen intercepting a pass from Georgia star quarterback Carson Beck in the end zone. ESPN commentator Kirk Herbstreit commented EA Sports changes to Dynasty game mode.

Michigan, which once again hoists the College Football Playoff trophy in the fictional trailer, is one of many of the sport’s top players and teams featured in the game, which is set to launch on July 19. The new trailer covered the details of Dynasty mode, which allows players to take control of a program and make decisions regarding recruiting and the transfer portal.

Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers and Wolverines running back Donovan Edwards — two of the game’s three cover athletes — were shown making a pass and receiving a handoff, respectively, in the early parts of the video. The video game also gave a sneak peek at new Big Ten opponents USC and Penn State battling in a hostile environment in Happy Valley, just one of numerous new conference matchups at the national level for the 2024 season.

Shortly before the game’s release, EA Sports released the top 10 teams in terms of overall rating, with Georgia coming in first. While Michigan wasn’t in the top 10, the Wolverines ranked sixth best in the game’s defense with an overall rating of 90.
