Photos will be shown in an exhibition at the Westport Book Shop

WESTPORT – Photographs by Julie O’Connor are on display at the Westport Book Shop through July.

A reception for the exhibition is planned for Wednesday, July 17, at 6 p.m. at the store, 23 Jesup Road. To attend, call 203-349-5141 or email [email protected].

The exhibition, which runs through July 31, features a diverse collection of O’Connor’s work from the past four decades.

O’Connor’s photographs have been exhibited at the Chicago Art Institute and are part of the permanent collection. Her photojournalism work has appeared in such magazines as Time Magazine, The New York Times, New York Magazine, and Travel & Leisure Magazine.

In 2008 she completed the art photography book “Doors of Weston: 300 Years of Passageways in a Connecticut Town”.

She is a member of the National Association of Women Artists, CT Women Artists, Salmagundi Club, Silvermine Guild of Artists and the Artists Collective of Westport.
