NHL schedule 2024-25 released, begins with Global Series in Czech Republic on October 4

On Monday, October 14, the first game will be available on Prime Video as part of his Prime Monday Night Hockey program when the Canadiens host the Penguins at 7:30 p.m. ET at the Bell Centre. The NHL’s new partner will offer 26 broadcasts in Canada throughout the season, all on Mondays.

The 1,312-game regular season schedule – 82 games per team – concludes on Thursday, April 17. A complete list of the 2024-25 regular season schedules for each team is attached. Below is a list of each team’s first home games.

Important dates in the 2024–25 NHL regular season schedule

Four teams will participate in the 2024 NHL Global Series presented by Fastenal and play regular season games in Europe. The Sabres and Devils will play their opening games of the 2024-25 season against each other on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5 at O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. The Dallas Stars and Panthers will play in two regular season games on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2 at Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland.

All 32 teams will be in action on Tuesday, October 22nd.

A rematch of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final will take place on December 16, when the Oilers host the Panthers at Rogers Place. Florida also hosts Edmonton at Amerant Bank Arena on February 27.

On Tuesday, December 31, the Discover NHL Winter Classic® will feature an outdoor game between the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks at Wrigley Field in Chicago (5:00 p.m. ET, TNT, MAX, SN, TVAS). The game continues a tradition the league started in 2008 of hosting a regular season outdoor game to start the new year.

January 18th is Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada, where all seven Canadian teams will be in action.

The league’s regular season schedule will be interrupted from February 10 to 21, when the world’s best NHL players from Canada, Finland, Sweden and the United States will meet in Montreal and Boston for 4 nations in duela new event of international tournament play consisting of a total of seven matches played over a nine-day period from 12 to 20 February, plus two designated training/practice days (10 and 11 February).

On Saturday, March 1, the Columbus Blue Jackets will host the Detroit Red Wings in the 2025 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series™ at Ohio Stadium, home of Ohio State University football.

The Walt Disney Company (ESPN/ABC), TNT Sports, Sportsnet, Prime Video and TVA Sports are the NHL’s national broadcast partners for the 2024-25 season and will provide comprehensive coverage throughout the season. Complete broadcast details will be announced when available.
