Maria Campos tells a story of love and death in the video “Amor Mio”

Experience an interdisciplinary journey between IXYXI and director Hernán Corera in “Amor Mio,” the latest music video for Maria Campos.

Having worked together on numerous projects in the past, the two teamed up again, but this time they embarked on an interdisciplinary expedition.

IXYXI is known as a creative music and sound design house and Hernán Corera for his unique works and vision as a director. Both parties remain in constant research and exploration of different artistic expressions and are not afraid to explore new roles in their creative process.

The music video was written and directed by Hernán Corera and Mate Yaya (IXYXI). The music was produced by IXYXI and Hernán Corera, who also contributed to the editing and sound design. The creation of this crossover resulted from a strong creative focus on previous collaborations.

“We have worked together on numerous projects. It is our custom to discuss the story, concept and emotional thread of each film with the director before we even talk about the music, because storytelling is of utmost importance to us. These conversations with Hernan always lasted for hours and always went beyond the work at hand. I think we were so inspired by each other’s vision that we wanted to invite the other into our creative world,” said Mate Yaya (IXYXI).

“Amor Mio” tells a moving story of love and death, shot on 16mm in the Argentine province of San Juan.

As the directors describe it: “Amor Mío could be a love story that culminates in a courageous duel, but also a ghost story or perhaps an opéra gauchesca. For us it is all of these things, a prayer that connects the world of the living and the dead.”
