Chris Cuomo shocked by reaction to Biden’s debate disaster

Chris Cuomo criticized the media’s immediate turnaround on President Joe Biden after his disastrous debate as “disingenuous” and asked why they “act surprised” by his performance.

The Newsnation anchor began the segment by discussing Biden’s testimony on the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity, which he said was “very different from his testimony in the debate, where he was often incoherent and completely untrustworthy.”

“This is no surprise,” the former CNN star continued. “Biden is who we know. That’s who Biden was at the debate – that’s who we know he was.”

Cuomo added that if Biden has to react quickly, he is “not good. He is old and sickly.”

“Does that mean he can’t hold meetings, do his job, meet with senior executives or discuss things privately?” asked the Newsnation anchor. “No.”

“Joe Biden, by the way, has never been particularly good on his feet. At his best, he was a faux pas machine,” Cuomo noted. “So why is the media acting so surprised?”

Cuomo sharply accused the media of only now calling on Biden to withdraw from the race. They see this as an “opportunity to run with a new narrative that will captivate clicks, readers and viewers.”

“Why haven’t they been calling for Biden’s resignation for months? He’s been like this for months,” Cuomo continued. “This is a disingenuous display. This is the game and they know it.”

Cuomo then added that the media should call on both Biden and Trump to drop out of the race.

“People have made it clear for months that they don’t want either of them in a way we’ve never seen before. Biden and Trump are a disgrace to the greatness of America – two old, angry, washed-up men with no new ideas, no compelling plans, both abusing the truth and the trust of the people around them,” Cuomo said.

“Neither of them will go down in history as a great man,” he added.
