Country music has become more popular in America than ever before. This is clearly evident in the sales and streams of country songs over the last 10 years.

The only 8 country songs that have ever sold more than 10 million copies

In music, it is a status symbol that only very few songs or artists achieve. A proverbial badge, if you will: The diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) attests to sales of 10 million units or more.

The RIAA has been tracking sales figures for individual songs since 1958, but it was only in the 2000s that a country song was certified diamond if it sold more than 10 million copies.

It took until 2016 for a country song to receive diamond certification, namely Florida Georgia Line with their hugely successful song “Cruise”.

It seems that when this song achieved diamond certification, it opened the door for country music. Since “Cruise” sold over 10 million copies, seven other country songs have been certified diamond by the RIAA.

Check out the gallery below to see which country songs have sold over 10 million copies.
